The Essentials of Endodontics: Understand & Utilize Evidence Based Concepts to Maximize Your Clinical Success

OVERVIEW
A multimedia presentation with extensive hands-on components, to facilitate incorporation of proven predictable techniques into everyday patient care.

The morning session will involve an introduction to contemporary cleaning & shaping objectives and presentation of revised guidelines to avoid common complications. Participants will gain experience in these techniques through clinical demonstrations & interactive sessions using quality rotary endodontic files. The afternoon session will focus on concepts in obturation of the prepared root canal system and the impact of newly introduced obturation materials. This will be followed by a clinical session utilizing thermo-mechanical compaction techniques with technologically advanced obturation equipment.

OBJECTIVES
After this course participants will be able to:
• Utilize Rotary Nickel – Titanium files safely & efficiently based on an understanding of root canal anatomy.
• Maximize the quality of canal preparation using advantages in file design.
• Understand biological concepts in canal irrigation & develop techniques for clinical implementation.
• Recognize the clinical impact of the latest obturation materials & equipment.
• Increase predictability for Endodontic success based on evidence-based care.

PRESENTER
Manish Garala, BDS, MS, received his dental degree in 1996 from Turner Dental School, University of Manchester, England. Between 1996 and 1999, he successfully completed his Vocational and General Dental Practitioner Degrees at Hope Dental Practice, Manchester, England. During this time, he developed a strong passion for endodontics, which led him to pursue a career as an endodontic specialist. He completed his Postgraduate Degree in Endodontics at Nova Southeastern University, Florida in 2002, with a Master of Science in Education.

Dr. Garala has been in private practice in Houston, Texas, since 2002, and is an Adjunct Assistant Professor at Nova Southeastern University College of Dental Medicine, Ft. Lauderdale, Florida.
