Lecture/Participation Course
Incorporating a Computer Guided Implant Surgical
Placement System Into Your Dental Practice

JOSEPH L. CARRICK, D.D.S.

OVERVIEW
This course will acquaint the participant with CT scan technology as well as to give the participant the ability to virtually place the implant three dimensionally before actually going to the mouth. What this means to the clinician is that if the implant is placed where the bone does not exist, it is easy to correct proactively. Clinically what this means that until recently clinical experience or more invasive flap procedures were necessary to visualize 3D. CT generated guides give you the ability to view the site as if you had removed tissue at the same time it always you to make changes in site selection prior to surgical misadventure. The course will help you see challenges before they are apparent and make appropriate changes again proactively. Finally the course will give you confidence on the patient’s you do treat and give you a heads-up on the ones you decide not to treat.

OBJECTIVES
At the conclusion of this course, attendees should be able to:
• Understand how CT scan technology works
• Site selection
